Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes managing operations and programs for a unit in the areas of personnel and pay management, training, administration, supply, maintenance operations, information management, resource management, recruitment, inspections and investigations, public relations, and/or security; analyzing and providing guidance on directives, policies, or instructions from higher headquarters; maintaining oversight of the overall readiness status of subordinate units; and exercising supervision over the daily activities of a full time staffThis definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualifyFor this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permittedTime in Grade Requirement:
