# Primary Purpose
Ensure that the quality of all products and parts meets necessary standards by inspecting design, weld, and paint. Support the safety/environmental policies and objectives of the corporation.

Responsibilities Include
Quality Assurance
Inspect fans/parts that are in pretest by referring to shop orders to ensure that proper parts are used and used correctly. Inspect fans/parts for building design problems, welding defects, and paint defects.
Notify appropriate supervisor/team lead if defect is discovered.
After fan has been crated, verify that fan tags are correct and that paint mil is correct. Ensure that fan has appropriate stickers and stencils applied correctly.
Sign off on appropriate paperwork and deliver paperwork to shipping.
Assist in process improvement by identifying where problems are occurring in the assembly process of the fan.
Operate bridge crane or fork lift to load and unload parts as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.
Safety
Promote safety training by planning and conducting selected training programs throughout the year.
Conduct frequent safety reviews/inspections to identify operational hazards. Audit employees' work methods.
Participate in Safety Committee as needed.
Identify hazards and recommend preventative measures and corrective actions.
Promote safety awareness through visual notices, directional signs, and communications.
Assist Operations Manager and Plant Manager as requested in the area of safety and health.
Work closely with Corporate Safety Manager and Safety Engineer to administer and promote TCF safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
2
years' manufacturing experience (preferably at Twin City Fan Companies) and/or training (technical school) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English. This includes shop orders, blue prints and test sheets.
Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers in a productive manner. Ability to communicate with people in various roles; i.e. managers, customers, etc.
Ability to work well with employees, HR, supervisors and Management.
Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure and read graphs and tables.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING
The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:
Forklift Certificate
Bridge Crane Training
Fall Protection Training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:
Continuously lift/move 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally pull up to 100 pounds with wheels (pallet jack).
Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
